NIPPER PROFICIENCY

We appreciate that it is very late notice but we are planning on running a Preliminary Evaluation (Pool Swim) proficiency
THIS SATURDAY 17th SEPT,
12:00PM Charlestown Pool for U6-U14 followed by
2:30PM Blacksmiths Beach for Ocean Swims for U9-U14 only. (Time is approximate and depends on how long the pool takes)
You cannot attempt the Ocean Swim if you have not first passed the Preliminary(Pool Swim) component.
Each Nipper must be a current registered member in order to take part. A child on the Pending list will not be permitted to participate.

SLSA have published new guidelines for Nipper Preliminary (pool) Evaluations and for Competition Evaluation (ocean swims).

Most age groups have now introduced a glide, scull, tread water or dive component.

Our Junior Activity (Nipper) Committee are maintaining our previous Preliminary distances (25m pool swim for U8, 200m for U9-U14) and adding in the additional components. As such, WE ARE NOT accepting any coach sign offs for any age groups this season.
